Which bento box size should I choose?

Check the capacity and dimensions provided in the product details. Compact, single-layer bentos are suitable for snacks, lighter lunches or children, while larger and multi-tier designs provide more room for complete meals and separate dishes. Consider both your usual portion size and the space available in your bag.

Is this Japanese bento box leak-proof?

Leak resistance depends on the model. Bento boxes specifically described as leak-proof or leak-resistant include a sealed lid designed to reduce spills, but we still recommend carrying them upright. Individual compartments may not be sealed from one another, and soups or very liquid foods should only be packed when the product is explicitly designed for them.

Is this bento box microwave and dishwasher safe?

This depends on the material and construction. Only use the microwave or dishwasher when this is clearly stated in the product details. Remove the outer lid, elastic band, utensils and accessories before heating unless otherwise indicated. Wooden, bamboo and metal components must never be placed in a microwave.

How should I clean and store my bento box?

Wash the bento box after each use with mild soap, removing seals and dividers whenever possible. Allow every component to dry completely before reassembly. Wooden bento boxes should be washed quickly by hand, never soaked, and stored open until fully dry to help prevent moisture and odors.
