What sizes are available, and where does it fit best?

The zen garden comes in two sizes, 8.7 x 5.9 in (22 x 15 cm) and 4.9 x 4.9 in (12.5 x 12.5 cm), so a size can be chosen to match the space available. Both are compact enough for a shelf, a bedroom corner, or a small yoga space. Neither size needs a large surface or a dedicated room.

What is it made of, and how should it be cared for?

The tray is wood, the Buddha statue and pot are resin finished in deep bronze tones, and the garden is filled with sand and smooth pebbles. The wooden tray can be wiped with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and the sand can be smoothed back into place with the rake whenever it is disturbed. Keeping the piece away from standing water helps the finish last.

How is the zen garden set up and used?

The tray holds white sand on one side and pebbles on the other, where the Buddha statue sits, with the carved pot placed in the sand. The small rake is used to draw slow curves in the sand, and the pebbles can be rearranged into a new path whenever a change feels right. The idea follows kanso, the Japanese sense of simplicity, so there is no fixed pattern to follow, only a quiet moment at the end of the day.
